Christmas Party & Support Group... December 5, 2010 8:47 am Season's Greetings!!
Be the first to leave a comment.Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! To celebrate the holiday, we will be having a Christmas dinner party along with an open forum for our December 15th, 2010 support group meeting. The time is 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Please bring your favorite recipe, whether it is a covered dish, salad, or dessert...make sure to include the written recipe so we can all share. What better way to celebrate the holiday than to chat with fellow WLS members, eat good food and add new recipes! Remember, you do not have to bring large portions...we do not eat much! Please email me @ [email protected] indicating you will be attending and your food selection or with regrets. This way we can be sure that our dinner will not just include all of one food group! Bottled water and decaf coffee will be furnished. So plan on having dinner at our December group meeting and chatting about any and everything! Look forward to hearing back from you with what delicious item you will be bringing. See you then. Terri Black Canton WLS Support Group RSVP requested no later than December 13, 2009
Another great OH Event!!! November 10, 2010 9:17 pm
What can I say?
Be the first to leave a comment. It is wonderful that OH sponsors these outstanding events for all of us members to attend if possible. Having been to a few of them now, I can say that it is very beneficial to everyone involved. The members have a chance to meet other members, bond and formulate new friendships. Vendors have the opportunity to present their items to the bariatric community which in some cases we as the patients do no have the opportunity to learn about them otherwise. The professional speakers present incredible topics and we are able to meet with them one on one. I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with the founder, Eric (something I had wanted to do for a very long time I might add) and chat with him on various topics. I hope to be able to chat with him in the near future as there were a few great ideas discussed and would love to see them come to fruition. Once again I met up with Kim, her husband and daughter, Yvonne, Carie, Dr. Garth Davis, Chef Dave (love the new book by the way), Connie Stapleton and many many others. I was disappointed that due to a scheduling conflict, Bo was unable to attend. Yvonne did however make it possible for all of us to say "HELLO"! I cannot say enough about OH and their continued commitment to support and educate all of us...THANK YOU OH!!
